Murder in Surburbia

It would be an intimate weekend, away from the city at the legendary beach house of Phillip Wilde, senior partner at Dale, Clark & Wilde, and his wife, Debra.

Unfortunately the weather was not accommodating and it seemed the wind picked up as soon as Caroline Clark, grandaughter of the Clark in the partnership, and Charles Walsh began their journey. By the time they arrived, the rain was coming in torrents.

Caroline and Charles lived in a swank townhouse in the heart of the city and had done so for 2 years. Caroline was a rising model when they met, but Charles soon put a stop to that as soon as they moved in together. Charles was a junior in the partnership and constantly worked to improve his position.

Caroline had wanted to stay home even before the weather had turned foul but Charles wouldn't hear of turning down such a coveted invitation. And rumour had it something was up with the great Phillip Wilde and Charles wasn't about to miss the opportunity to be there first hand if a scandal took place. It might even provide the edge he needed in his quest for top position.

But the drive out of the city was torturous, and with every mile Charles' mood darkened with the skys. Caroline shivered and wondered if it was a sign of things to come...
